1944年生まれ。作曲家、音楽批評家、著述家、朗読演出家、音楽プロデューサー。66年日本大学工学部卒業。76～77年民族音楽研究のため、アジア、中東、アフリカの各国を歴訪。作品は、室内楽を中心に独奏曲、管弦楽、劇音楽など多岐に及ぶ。 アジアやヨーロッパの音楽祭で作品が取り上げられたり、放送されるなど、海外でも作品上演の機会は多い。「歌曲作品展」、「語りと音楽の世界」を含めると、これまでに20回を超える作品個展を開いている。ＣＤ、楽譜の出版も多数。一部の楽譜は海外でも出版されている。コンクールの入賞入選歴も多く、アジア作曲家連盟（Asia Composers League）のフェスティバルでも7度室内楽作品が入選している。 ヨーロッパの室内楽団やオーケストラから作曲を委嘱されたり招待作曲家として招かれることも多い。プロデューサーとしての活動も活発で、 「日本現代音楽展」、「２１世紀合唱音楽祭」、 「海外の現代音楽シリーズ」など、国内外の現代音楽の紹介やフェスティバルなどを制作。また朗読に大きな関心を持ち、台本執筆、脚色、演出を手がけるほか、朗読家の発掘育成にも力を注いでいる。 40年来、東洋思想、超心理学、量子物理学、神智学、史学を学び、それらの学際的研究も重ねている。またこれらと並行して講演や執筆活動を行う。国際芸術連盟会長、琴祥流琴祥会会長、朗読季の会主宰。東京国際室内楽作曲コンクール、東京国際声楽作曲コンクール審査員長。Kazuhiko Hattori (Composer, music critic, writer, music producer) Born in 1944. Graduated from Nihon University (Department of Technology) in 1966. During the years 1976-1977, he visited Asia, the Middle East, and Africa to pursue his study of ethnic music. Centered on chamber music, his compositions range from solo, orchestral works, to music for the plays. His works of composition have been performed in overseas; in the music festivals in Asia and Europe, and broadcasted on the media. His chamber music compositions have been presented at the Festival of Asia Composers League for seven times. Several ensembles and orchestras have requested for his compositions, and he has dedicated some works for them. As a music producer, he has produced Japan Contemporary Music Festival, 21st Century Chorus Festival, and series of performances of the contemporary music from overseas. Over 40 years, he has studied Oriental philosophy, psychology, physics, biology, and his interdisciplinary research has been continued. Also he has his career as a lecturer and a critic. Chairman of Japan International League of Artists, head judge of the Tokyo International Competition for Chamber Music Composition and JILA Music Competition.
